How to price esthetician services

Facials, peels, and waxing all run on different clocks and product costs, which makes guessing prices risky. Enter the treatment time and product cost for each service, and this calculator prices your full menu and turns it into a spa menu you can print or post.

Treatment time
Include consultation, prep, treatment, and room turnover. A 60-minute facial often occupies the room for 75 minutes.
Professional product cost
Peels, masks, and serums vary widely in cost per use. Track them per treatment.
Add-ons
High-frequency, LED, and extractions are easy upgrades that raise the average ticket.
Packages
Series of facials or peels encourage results-based commitment. Price packages from the single-session price.

The formula behind the calculator

Cost = (hours × your hourly pay) + supplies + travel. Price = cost × (1 + overhead) ÷ (1 − margin), rounded up to the nearest $5 (or $1 under $20). Add-ons skip the travel and setup charge, since they ride along with a main service. Every input is yours to change, so you can see exactly how each assumption moves your prices.

Frequently asked questions

How should an esthetician price facials?

Price from total room time (including consultation and turnover), your target hourly pay, product cost per treatment, and overhead, then add margin.

Should I offer facial packages?

Packages work well for results-driven treatments like peels. Discount modestly and make sure the package price still covers your time and product.

Do estheticians need to list waxing prices separately?

Yes. Waxing services are quick and frequent. Clear individual prices make them easy add-ons to facial appointments.
